Your partner for value-added employment searches in Korea Contact KOREA

As the world economy rapidly transitions into a knowledge-based economy, the importance of soft power – knowledge, technology, and talent – must be emphasized. Many of Korea’s global leading companies have recognized the need to supplement the domestic workforce with foreign talent to remain competitive. In this light, this has led to a so-called war for talent, which appears to be getting fiercer. This trend, however, will only lead to the heightened competitiveness of the companies which seek out talented employees from around the world, as well as the ability of Korea herself to compete on a global stage.

To keep abreast of this trend, the government of Korea stands ready to support the efforts to attract talented employees from around the world in a systematic manner. Specifically, this responsibility lies with Contact KOREA, a department initiated within KOTRA, Korea’s national trade and investment promotion agency. Privy to KOTRA’s network of nearly 100 offices located around the world, Contact KOREA from its headquarters in Seoul also operates an online portal site to which the CVs of talented individuals from around the world are submitted prior to being forwarded to interested Korean companies. Contact KOREA’s online presence also enables potential employees to take part in Internet-based video job interviews, thus making the application process much simpler and convenient.

Since its inception in September 2008,Contact KOREA has firmly positioned itself as the gateway to employment in Korea for global talent. We have established a tight-knit collaborative relationship with various associations for professionals and technicians, prestigious colleges and universities, and R&D centers overseas, and actively promote assisting competitive individuals on how to steer their careers toward Korea. In addition, Contact KOREA cooperates with organizations by industry, related government bureaus, self-governing bodies, and other institutions in Korea so as to support their respective hiring needs.
